Niykee's personal highlights include being hand-picked to join Snoop in the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013 and composing songs in spite of the chaos in the last couple of years. As a producer magnet, Niykee has a constant eye on the many beats that are being sent to her. She finds that most are a source of new songs. After just five minutes when I'm able to determine whether a beat is worthy of my time. Then I am able to see the concept of a song's whole concept in my brain and I start to write. When I sit at my front porch, playing guitar, lyrics will appear and usually are completed in less than thirty minutes. While she develops as a lyricist Niykee notes that the pain of her past serves as an endless source of ideas. "Even even if I'm not writing about my life directly, the sadness of losing my sister as well as my difficult childhood is incorporated into my music," she says. It influences my music and adds a greater significance, something I consider extremely important. I want to be able to listen to my music 20 years from now and be proud of what I have to say.
