Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Isabel Rodrigo (born February 20th 2003) is an American actor, singer and songwriter. Her performances as High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' leading lady earned her fame in the latter half of 2010. Rodrigo's debut single, "Drivers License", was released by Interscope Records and Geffen in 2020. It broke many records and was one of the top 2021 songs that were sold. It helped propel her to mainstream success. In the years following she released two singles "Deja Vu,"" and "Good 4 U" and her first solo album Sour (2021), which was praised with numerous awards including three Grammy Awards. In 2022, a Disney+ documentary called Olivia Rodrigo: Drive Home 2 U was released which chronicles her process of creating in the making of Sour. Rodrigo has achieved two Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles, one Billboard 200 number-one album, and five multi-Platinum awards from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). She was also recognized by the American Music Award and seven Billboard Music Awards. Time named her the 2021 Entertainer of the Year, and Billboard named her Woman of the Year in 2022. Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was conceived at Rancho Springs Medical Center Murrieta in California to Jennifer Rodrigo and Chris Rodrigo. She was born in Temecula, California. Rodrigo is a Filipino American, is Rodrigo;[8] Her father is Filipino and her mother is German and Irish. [6][9][10] It's been reported by Rodrigo that her paternal greatgrandfather immigrated from the Philippines to America when he was an adolescent. Her family still follows Filipino customs and cuisines. Rodrigo began vocal lessons at age six, and soon learned to play piano. [12] She began taking acting and singing classes at age six and began performing in theatre productions at elementary school. Rodrigo began playing guitar when she was 12. [12] Rodrigo was a kid who was a fan of alternative rock as a kid, like Pearl Jam, No Doubt or Green Day. Rodrigo fell in love with songwriting after hearing country music, including Taylor Swift. [14] She relocated from Brazil to Los Angeles following her audition for Bizaardvark.
